Tell California: Get The Men Out of Women's Prisons!
Show your support for WoLF's groundbreaking lawsuit on behalf of six incarcerated women

Background
In 2020, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 132 (SB 132) into law. This legislation, which went into effect in January of 2021 as the “Transgender Respect, Agency, and Dignity Act”, allows incarcerated men to be housed in women’s correctional facilities based on self-declared “gender identity.” This law allows men to “self-identify” as transgender, nonbinary, or intersex and be housed in women’s facilities.
Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF) filed a lawsuit in 2021 on behalf of multiple incarcerated women challenging SB132. WoLF asked the court to overturn this law and declare it unconstitutional.
SB 132 Harms Women!
Men are eligible for transfer regardless of whether they have had surgery on their genitals, have taken hormones, or been diagnosed with gender dysphoria. Several hundred men have already requested transfer, and dozens of male inmates have already been moved into women’s facilities, including men who have committed heinous violent and sexual crimes against women and children. Harms women have already experienced include:
- Rape
- Pregnancy
- Sexual harassment
- Retaliation for reporting sexual harassment
- Violations of their free speech
- Violations of their religious freedom
- Unequal treatment based on sex
- Loss of the women's culture at the prison, now overrun by men
- Living in constant terror
- Day-to-day indignity of being forced to live with men

Tell AMC: Stop Silencing Detransitioners!
AMC Theaters announced last week that it would be pulling screenings of, "No Way Back: The Reality of Gender-Affirming Care,” a 90-minute documentary examining the experiences of five detransitioners.
Goal: 500 signatureThe film was scheduled to premiere in AMC on June 21, but was pulled due to pressure from extreme gender ideologues who wish to silence the stories of people harmed by their ideology.
According to the film’s website, the documentary includes the stories of detransitioners Michelle, Laura, Cat, David, Joel, and Abel who share their stories of “gender distress, transgender medicalization, and subsequent detransition.” They are joined by medical and mental health experts such as psychotherapists Lisa Marchiano, Sasha Ayad, Stella O’Malley, physician-scientist Lisa Littman, endocrinologist Dr. William Malone, MD; Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Stephanie Winn, sociologist Dr. Michael Biggs, and pediatrician Dr. Julia Mason.
The campaign to cancel the film was organized by the Queer Trans Project, an organization that provides resources to children to encourage them to medically transition.

Tell the American Academy of Pediatrics to drop the “Affirmative Model” Now!
WoLF is partnering with Our Duty, a group of parents and their supporters who know the harms of medicalizing young people who claim to have “gender identities.”
In 2018, The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) adopted the “affirmative care model” based on a paper that was not peer-reviewed and full of numerous falsehoods.
- It has been used to justify the removal of healthy breasts of girls as young as 13, the testicles of boys as young as 16.
- It supports placing children on puberty blockers with drugs that are not FDA-approved.
- It permits doctors to ignore companion mental health issues and fast-track them to medicalization without addressing underlying causes.
- It ignores studies that find that prepubescent children outgrow their belief that they have a gender identity.
In October of 2022, the UK’s National Health Service replaced their “affirmative model” with new specifications. The new model:
- Utilizes a comprehensive mental health assessment led by a team of pediatric, autism, neurodiversity, and mental health experts.
- Discourages social transition in prepubertal children and notes that evidence demonstrates that in most cases, gender incongruence resolves with puberty.
- Makes clear that biological sex takes precedence.
In partnership with Our Duty, WoLF urges the American Academy of Pediatrics to conduct an independent, systematic review of the science and adopt evidence-based protocols as done in the UK, Sweden, and Finland.
No more children should suffer and experience horrific regret. WoLF members and supporters oppose the medicalization of children; we are especially concerned about how gender ideology harms female children and adolescents. Recently, WoLF submitted an amicus brief to the US Supreme Court to fight the newest LGB conversion therapy, "gender affirmation," and testified in support of “Help Not Harm” bills in Missouri and Montana.
